Writing Advice Masterpost

I've been asked a lot lately for writing advice. And so I'm going to link some different things that help me, and then if anyone (if anyone reads this) wants embellishment (want an example of x method implemented) you can comment below (comments can be anonymous. You do not need a blogger account and if you have one and want to protect your identity, log out, leave an anon comment, log back in.)

I shall add links as I find more helpful things & update this.

Okay.

WRITER'S BLOCK

I need inspiration block:

Also I'll eventually begin putting up prompts on either this blog or a new one, or a tumblr if people would prefer. I'll poll it. As well as writing challenges to be posted on my second account.

Pick and choose. See what works for you or what doesn't. You can even do yours really basic like so:

Character Name
-hair color
-eye color
-height
-distinguishing feature (if any) (piercings, tattoos, mole, birthmark, scars....etc)
-personality description (paragraph, sentence, a few words whatever)
Goal: (each character has to have a goal. Most often does not revolve around central character but advances plot)

Again, mix and match and use whatever works for you.

DON'T PLAN TOO MUCH

http://nybookeditors.com/book-editing-copy-editing-proofreading-self-publishing-blog/2013/9/14/outlining

Literally. (from experience) it gets to the point where if you plan/over think to much you'll grow bored. Just start writing. It's okay if the story changes and doesn't totally follow the plan. It happens.

For now, good luck with writing, dudes!
