I really do. I think sometimes I'm just not good enough.
And before you start with that comforting shit, I'm serious.
It's like I have the potential to be better but I'm not tapping into it.
I think I'm going to do a series of posts entitled 'I want to be better' that apply to different things writing school speech friendships
Everything.
read them. don't. they're more for me but i'd appreciate opinions (once again assuming someone is actually reading)

I Want to be a Better Writer:
- Carry a journal or notebook around with me (something small & write. Just fucking write every time I think of something)
- Plan/Outline do whatever. If I'm not writing but I'm thinking about it, I might as well write down what comes to mind
- Write every day
- Write consistently
- Write for me
- Write what I want
- Ask for constructive criticism
- Get opinions from people I trust
- Be more confident with writing (i.e. show to family/friends)
- Write to the end. Taking a small break is okay but not writing a book for forever *cough*WT*cough* is both unacceptable, and a sign that something is wrong.
- Don't be afraid to rewrite
- Edit. Always.
- If someone says they don't like it, ask why.
- Always try to be better
- Re-read writing often
- Read out loud
- Make it a habit
- Don't force the words, but don't be a perfectionist either. Nothing will get done.
- It's not about posting it on Wattpad or the votes or comments, remember that.
- In the end, if you don't like it fix it. You are your first reader. Even if you're disappointing people, take a break or stop writing or rewrite. Don't be afraid.
- Of course, life will always get in the way. Know that. But still make it a habit to jot down things even if it's nonsensical sentences or a description or something super random and maybe a little stupid
If you guys have something to add/comment on, go ahead! But my hope is that I'll look at this and start doing what I wrote down.
Have a listen to my writing soundtrack
