Writing Goals 2013 & Beyond

• Finish the Bellows Academy Series (About 48% there. I actually made up that number but it makes me feel better.).
• Finish the Wyvern's Tale
• Edit UP + TNS
• Rewrite Lineage & Untitled Novel
• Edit WT, ID, Etc.
• Write/Finish Side Dishes
• Write Whisper, When It Rains, Number 6019 etc.
• EDIT.
• Query Agents
• Get Published (lol though)
• Etc.

Okay well that's just a few of the many, many goals. But that's just a glimpse of how much I want to get done. I'm not expecting 2013 to be my lucky year (how ironic would that be?) and I miraculously get ALL of that done. but I do want to get UP done to the point that I feel like I can pass it on to an agent. That includes editing till I drop, beta readers, more editing, another pass of betas, and then a final proof read before setting off on the boulevard of broken dreams in hopes of finding someone who loves the story I have to tell as much as I do. 

That one I want to be done by the end of 2013. Same with WT, the finishing of writing it. While I focus on editing UP, that one may be neglected editing wise, but it will go on the same path. The only book(s) that won't get any of that editing craze is the BA books because I'm not publishing serious about them. They were written for ME and the fact that I found an audience on Wattpad that enjoys them as much as I do makes me happy.

I think Imma make a blog post on "If I were ever to publish the BA series" some day. & explain WHY and yadda yadda. Like explain why I DON'T have publishing aspirations for it. 

The BA series probs wont be done till at the earliest, mid/late 2014. The other books, we'll just see. Like I said. Imma be busy next year. Maybe even this summer. So while I hate to put writing on  the back burner (EXHIBIT A. I SIT HERE ALL THE TIME THINKING ABOUT MY STORIES AND HOW MUCH I JUST WANT TO GIVE ALL OF THEM A GROUP HUG) I may need to. 

The rewrite of Lineage will ensue after I give UP up to beta readers, so not for a while. Although I have so many ideas for it. & I think I'll be posting it on Wattpad. At least for a "limited time" you know? Until I go through on another pass at it. But I think more opinions will be good. 

Still unsure whether I'll post UP up. No one has really voted aside from two (awesome) people. So I may just keep it on my flash drives *hugs flashdrives* until I seek out Beta readers. Honestly, I'm thinking I won't post it on Wattpad, just because I don't want to hurt my chances of getting it published.

I'll probs send out a fancast about the types of people I want. I want two sets of betas. critics and just plain ol' readers. People who read A LOT all the time. & I want to see all the different demographics I can reach. The critics will probably be the majority of my first set of betas,  then the plain ol' readers might be the second along with some critical people. 

But I do hope to begin the querying process by the end of this year. Considering the little progress I've made, it's a long shot. So I'll just be happy to get through one set of betas + the second editing pass. We shall see. 

Obviously I'm going to be writing other things aside from the BA series so everyone needs to pipe down and not pester me. I write what I want, and keep in mind that I'm much more publishing serious about my other books. Like WT & UP

Things like Band Camp, BA, and even Circuited (it's origins are that of a co-write so if I try and get it published it could get messy), weren't written with the intention of someday publishing. 

But there's the plan. As of now. Of course things change, and the school year will kick my butt, meaning I need to get as much done as possible this summer both editing and writing wise. 

My summer goals are: 

-Finish ID & WT

-Finish first pass of crazy edits/rewrites of UP & line up betas

-Try and get at least halfway through 6019 and a fourth of the way through When It Rains (both of them seem like they're going to be SUPER long).

- Hopefully get TNS somewhat edited. At least to the point where I won't warn friends away from it when they ask about it. (The story will stay mostly the same). 

And that's the plans.

I have a lot of work to do. Jeez. I never get a break? Lol well if I get to the point where I'm querying agents by the end of this year, then I'll definitely give myself a breather. Or since I'll probably be really excited about a project let myself work on something stress free. Meaning no deadlines, no cares about plot holes (knowing me I probs still will), probably won't even post on wattpad just so I can do it at my own pace however I want. Even on the side. 

But since I probably won't. Again won't allow myself a genuine break until I query. 

Which might be as late as summer of 2014 (that would make me very sad).
