As I think about delving back into the Bellows Academy series, I realize how unexcited I am. The plot of the third book is thought out and while I am excited about different plot elements, I look back at The Necromancer's Secret and even the superior Imperi's Deception and grow frustrated. The idea of going back to the series is downright exhausting.
Listen, I know this is unfair to the readers, and I know I'm going back on my word--but hear me out.
The truth is, I've changed since TNS--which I began writing at about 13. I am now 18 years old. NO way am I even marginally close to the Malak I was then. I've matured, obviously, but I've also matured in my writing. My ideas and characters are more complex and in-depth and everything the BA books are not.
In all honesty, I don't want to finish the books. I wish I could power through, but I just don't want to. Which will result in a shitty book that would never even get finished in the first place. There will be no third book.
However, I have other ideas. Like I said, I matured and feel like my writing has done so as well. I am bursting with ideas, and more will come. That much I promise you.
TNS and ID will stay up--for now, but on private. I might delete them later on, who knows.
For those who liked the BA series for all the magic and mystery--the plot essentially, I hope you stick around for my future stories (bigger and better, baby). For those of you loved the characters (Muffy, Gwen, Scott etc.) then I'd encourage you to stick around as well.
Ya'll are great, and you have always been so supportive of me and i honestly love you for it. But, if after htis message you athe me and unfollow me--I get it. Thanks for being here in the first place.
For those of you who stick around: just wait. when I say bigger and better, I do mean better--my new ideas are intense and pretty awesome (there's the modest Malak we all know, huh?). And when I say bigger I mean bigger. Maybe a new website. Potentially self-publishing. More social media interactions--just all new cooler stuff that really captures what wattpad is: creating an interactive, rewarding reading experience.
So, to those who don't want to stick around: thank you and goodbye.
To those of you who will stick around (and are patient): thank you and stay tuned.
